Telling the story of what you have to offer

‘People who are reluctant to communicate to others about their product or service appear not to have a strong belief in the value of what they have to offer. Even if what you are selling is genuinely valuable, it’s difficult for other people to buy into it if they don’t hear you share your story of it enthusiastically. After all, if someone really believed in their product or service, why would they want to hide it from you?

Of course, before you tell me anyone about your product or service, there is someone you need to be absolutely convinced it’s worth backing – YOU!

If you aren’t passionate about your own product or service, not only will you fail to ignite any interest in other people, you will unconsciously convey to others that you are unsure of its worth, and as a result they will be too.

Stop for a moment and think about your service. How passionately do you believe in it on a scale of 1 to 10?

If your answer is below 10 then it’s time to work on your story. If your answer is below 5 then you probably need to go back and work on what you are offering.

7 habits of Highly Effective People

“The real source of wealth and capital in this new era is not material things. It is the human mind, the human spirit, the human imagination, and our faith in the future”
(Steve Forbes – billionaire)

1-Be proactive (think and get going)
2-Begin with end in mind (big picture end game)
3-Put first things first (prioritise, say no to interruptions)
4-Think win-win (try to help everyone you engage with)
5-Seek first to understand then to be understood
6-Synergize (1 plus 1 = 3 once you use all principles)
7-Sharpen the saw (take time now to sharpen tool to save time in long run).

Creating A Thinking Environment

"Beneath the fear of being punished for thinking for themselves, most people have ideas that matter, ideas that would make a differnece if they could be developed fully. People, regardless of their position or status, can think of things that move discussions to whole new levels of sparkle and resolution. Individuals you would never suspect of being interesting have abosorbing stories to tell and disturbing insights that would humble even the most long-winded of us right out of our self-importance and rush. If the conditions are right, the huge intelligence of the human being surfaces. Ideas seem to come from nowhere and sometimes stun us."

Time is the greatest innovator

The Pomodoro Technique - what is it and how will it help

The Pomodoro Technique™ is a time management method. For many of us time is an enemy. The anxiety triggered by “the ticking clock” and deadlines to be met leads to ineffective work and study habits and procrastination. The Pomodoro Technique™ transforms time into a valuable ally.
1. Choose a task to be accomplished
2. Set the Pomodoro to 25 minutes (the Pomodoro is the timer)
3. Work on the task until the Pomodoro rings, then put a check on your sheet of paper
4. Take a short break (5 minutes is OK)
5. Every 4 Pomodoros take a longer break

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent...

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
John Calvin Coolidge

Have you found your passion?

"A hymn to the breathtaking diversity of human talent and passion and to our extraordinary potential for growth and development. It's also about understanding the conditions under which human talents will flourish or fade. It's about how we can all engage more fully in the present and how we can prepare in the only possible way for a completely unknowable future." Ken Robinson

So the questions are - Have you found your passion?
Can you find it in others without finding your own?
